HCMC, October 9th, 2013, BRIDGESTONE TIRE VIETNAM (BSTVN) in collaboration with its strategic partner – BVOT GROUP (BVOT) shall co-organize “CAR CARE DAY” Safety Campaign on 12th – 13th Oct 2013 at My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi

After the resounding success of the festive event “Car Care Day - comprehensive care” for automobiles at Quan Khu 7 Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City), two key organizers, Bridgestone Vietnam and BVOT, continue to bring this program to the car community in the North.

This activity is a part of the series “For Viet Auto Community” to provide the vehicle users in Hanoi and its neighboring provinces with essential fundamental knowledge on care and maintenance, as well as operation of vehicles in the safest way, thereby minimizing the number of traffic accidents that is unfortunately rising recently. This program will be expected to have about 300 cars under special care, with the participation of the leading companies in automotive spare part industries such as:

-       Inspection, maintenance, and consultation on tyres: Bridgestone Vietnam

-       Interior-exterior inspection and maintenance: 3M Vietnam

-       Battery inspection and care: GS Vietnam

-       Lubrication check and consultation: Total Vietnam

-       Electronic inspection with scanner: Benh Vien O To & Toyota My Dinh

“According to the report of our technical team on the Car Care Day in Ho Chi Minh City, 36% of attending vehicles had tires with inappropriate air pressure, including 24% over pumped, and 13% had severely worn tires recommended replacing” sharing by the representative of the co-organizer, Mr. Motoki Nagasawa, GD of Bridgestone Tire Vietnam.

Besides tires, other important parts, including battery and lubricants, have not been properly cared for, or users are lack of knowledge of such components. Up to 40% of batteries needed cleaning and refilling;  over 50% of vehicle owners failed to know how many types of oil their cars needed, the proper periodic maintenance, of lubricant level and service frequency, according to the representatives of GS Vietnam and Total Vietnam.

Additionally, many have not known how to deodorize the air-conditioned compartment or remove the asphalt by themselves, noticed 3M Vietnam on the Car Care Day in Ho Chi Minh City. These factors impact the performance, safety and fuel efficiency of the vehicle.

With this “Car Care Day – comprehensive care” program, besides the special services by the automotive industry leaders, BVOT shall cooperate with Toyota My Dinh dealership  to implement the final overall assessment of the cars with ultrasound error scanners.

Together with the community-oriented nature, the program organizers shall donate the entire amount from the program ticket sales to award outstanding students majoring in automotive technology as well as to show appreciation to Hanoi traffic knights. Following this event, the seminar “Tires and Essential Knowledge” shall be held on December 7, in Can Tho City.

With the aforementioned special goal, this program receives highly positive responses from the media with the supporting information sponsors including: Investment Review, Thanh Nien Online newspaper, 24h.com.vn, VITV, AutoTV, Vietnam Auto magazine, Vietnam Auto Industry magazine, Autovina, Autonet, Autocar Magazine, Cars and Motorcycles magazine, Autodaily, Autopro, Auto & Life magazine, Auto & Sports magazine, CafeAuto.
