In welcoming the Year of National Traffic Safety 2013, the event is organized as a part of the program series titled “FOR VIET AUTO COMMUNITY” conducted by Bridgestone Vietnam and BVOT in major provinces and cities across the country to provide the community with knowledge of tyre in particular and car in general, how to prevent accidents and how to maintain cars in accordance with required standards as well.
Joining in “Car Care Day” in HCMC – the first event of its kind in Vietnam, besides 2 main organizers Bridgestone Viet Nam and BVOT, some world leading providers of automobile components and maintenance services, such as 3M Vietnam, GS Vietnam, Total Vietnam, and Robert Bosch Vietnam will also take part in this event.
According to Mr. Motoki Nagasawa, General Director of Bridgestone Vietnam main organizer of this event alongside BVOT, “Bridgestone Vietnam takes part in the program series ‘For Viet Auto Community’ because it is a very practical activity that will contribute to raising safe-driving awareness and reducing traffic accidents. In addition, the program series is considered a profound commitment of Bridgestone Vietnam and the event’s sponsors towards customers.”
The “Car Care Day” will take place during August 17&18, 2013, with more than 300 cars expected to be serviced at the event.
This will be the first program of its kind in Vietnam that gathers many technical experts and engineers from leading groups around the world to assist customers in car services:
- Inspection, maintenance, and consultation on tyres: Bridgestone Vietnam
- Inspection, maintenance, and consultation on car interior and exterior: 3M Vietnam
- Inspection, maintenance, and consultation on battery: GS Vietnam
- Inspection and consultation on oils and lubricants: Total Vietnam
- Inspection and consultation on horns and wipers: Robert Bosch Vietnam
Besides, experts from BVOT and the HCMC University of Technology use scanners to check for car system issues and give advice to the vehicles’ users attending the program.
Since the event is organized towards community betterment, the organizers will donate all the proceeds from ticket sales to a group of “street knights” led by Nguyen Van Minh Tien, who voluntarily hunt robbers on streets, and to voluntary squads that clean up the nails on the streets and capture the “nail scattering criminals” in Districts 2, 9 and Thu Duc.Following this event in HCMC, Bridgestone Viet Nam and BVOT- 2 main organizers will co-operate with other world leading companies in automobile components and maintenance services conduct another “Car Care Day” at National Stadium- My Dinh in Hanoi on October 12-13, 2013.
