Ho Chi Minh City (October 28th, 2014) – Bridgestone Tire Sales Vietnam Limited Liability Company (Bridgestone Vietnam), wholly owned subsidiary of the world’s largest tire and rubber company Bridgestone Corporation, today visited Hai Phong University as part of the “Bridgestone Accompany with Vietnamese Students” program. By sharing Bridgestone Vietnam staffs’ experience in an international working environment with the students, the program aims to prepare and equip Vietnamese undergraduates who will soon enter the workforce with office-related soft skills.
As part of the program, Bridgestone Vietnam presented scholarships to students who have achieved outstanding academic performance. Representatives from Bridgestone Vietnam and Bridgestone Tire Manufacturing Vietnam Limited Liability Company were also available to provide career-related consultation and advice to the students.
Held annually since 2011, Hai Phong University is the fifth institution of higher education where the “Bridgestone Accompany with Vietnamese Students” program is conducted. Previous universities where the program was held include:
- The University of Science, Ho Chi Minh City, 2011
- Can Tho University and University of Technology in Ha Noi, 2012
- Quy Nhon University and University of Technology in Ho Chi Minh City, 2013
- Da Nang University, 2014
