Truong Hoc Bridge in Binh Phu hamlet, Duc Hue commune, Tay Ninh province (formerly part of Long An province) – the 12th bridge in Bridgestone Vietnam’s community project “Bridgestone - Bridge to Knowledge” – has officially been inaugurated. The project ensures safe daily commutes for over 150 students while also facilitating trade for more than 40 local households. The event coincided with the 15th anniversary of Bridgestone Vietnam, reaffirming its long-term commitment to improving quality of life and promoting sustainable development in underprivileged areas.
On August 28, 2025, in a joyful atmosphere with local residents, the 30-meter-long, 3.5-meter-wide, 5-ton-capacity Truong Hoc Bridge was officially put into operation. The new bridge replaces the old severely deteriorated one, opening up a safe and solid path for both residents and students.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Truong Hoc Bridge was conducted by representatives of Duc Hue Commune authorities, Bridgestone Vietnam, and business partners.
A Long-Awaited Dream Come True
In the past, locals had to cross an old, severely degraded bridge spanning a large canal. After years of use, its structure had rusted and rotted, losing its load-bearing capacity and posing a collapse risk at any time. Every crossing caused the bridge to shake violently, creating fear and danger for anyone passing.
The old bridge had severely deteriorated, posing serious risks in daily use.
Nguyen Kim Anh (5th grade student from Binh Hoa Nam Primary School) shared: “Every time I crossed the old bridge, it shook a lot, and I was very scared. I used to wish for a new, stronger bridge so I could feel safe going to school every day.”
Understanding these difficulties, Bridgestone Vietnam, in collaboration with E-XPRO Advertising Co., Ltd. and the local government of Duc Hue, constructed the new reinforced concrete bridge. It is corrosion-resistant, non-degradable, and meets technical standards to ensure safe passage. The structure consists of two solid concrete abutments and four prestressed reinforced concrete beams, with deep foundations to enhance load capacity and stability, ensuring long service life.
Ms. Le Thi Ha Giang (Vice Chairwoman of Duc Hue Commune People’s Committee) emotionally shared:
“The new bridge gives people peace of mind when traveling, while also fostering socio-economic development. Transporting agricultural products and children’s commutes have become easier and safer, contributing to improved quality of life. This project brings tangible benefits, providing trust and motivation for locals to confidently work and produce.”

The “Bridgestone - Bridge to Knowledge” project, initiated by Bridgestone, not only provides safe and solid bridges for children to attend school but also serves as bridges of love, spreading the spirit of community connection. After 12 bridges built across different regions, hundreds of students can now attend school safely, while thousands of households benefit from easier daily life and production activities.
Students and residents of Duc Hue Commune were delighted to experience the new bridge.
