Ho Chi Minh City – December 3rd 2013, following the criterion of sharing and going along with the community responsibility, Bridgestone Vietnam cooperates with the BVOT Group Co., Ltd. to hold the series program “For The Vietnam Auto Community 2013” on the national scale. This is also a mark to end the series program “For The Vietnam Auto Community” in 2013 and a promise to bring out new and practical changes for the community in 2014.

“From the events that we conducted, we realize that most of the drivers who joined the traffic everyday didn’t know much basic knowledge about safe driving, especially the tire which is the most important part of the car. This fact encourages us to make the idea come true: bringing the series program “For The Vietnam Auto Community” closer to the customers all over the provinces and cities in Vietnam. Accordingly, we have been drafting a detailed plan to communicate wider and deeper the traffic safety knowledge to everybody”, said Mr. Motoki Nagasawa, the General Director of Bridgestone Vietnam.

According to the survey results after the seminars about tire in Ha Noi, Buon Ma Thuot and Car Care Day in Ho Chi Minh city, Ha Noi, there are more than 58% of car owners and drivers don’t know how to handle accidents relating the car tire, and 40% of cars are not prepared with standard amount of air in the tires. In the complex traffic in Vietnam, most of tire accidents generate from drivers’ carelessness, in which primarily the lack of basic knowledge to deal with emergency situations when driving fast, losing control of drive on wet surfaces. Besides, it’s necessary to communicate to the drivers other basic knowledge such as tire change, tire checking and maintenance principles before departing, or how to choose suitable tire for the car, so that guarantee safety for themselves and everybody.

From this fact, at the workshops, there are technology experts from HCMC University of Technology, Bridgestone Vietnam and engineers from Toyota Can Tho to directly instruct in details for the customers to know from the basic knowledge such as reading tire signs, change spare wheel, standard air inflation, how to choose suitable tire to advanced information like wheel balancing, wheel corner calibration, tire rotation… Moreover, the customers also get to know the best ways to handle situations of water slipping, losing driving control, tire explosion, uncomfortable vibration… with instructing videos.

Together with the theory, customers can join the practice sessions with the car and car parts. Especially, customers who take their cars to the event will be offered with special car care service by leading technical staffs  from Bridgestone and partners,  including:
-          Tire care and inspection: Bridgestone Vietnam
-          Interior maintenance and inspection: 3M Vietnam
-          Inspection with digital scanners, inspection on horn, wipers, cooling pumping, windscreen washer: Benh Vien O To and Toyota Can Tho.

The series program “For The Viet Auto Community” also embodies a strong commitment from the Benh Viet O To, Bridgestone Vietnam and its partners to bring positive values to the Viet Auto Community and to a whole safer and friendlier Vietnam.
