Today, more than 250 customers will participate in the two-day BMW Driving Experience 2015, held from 12th to 14th June 2015, to gain hands-on experience with Bridgestone’s newly launched TURANZA GR-100 tire.

By simulating the most dangerous real-world driving situations, Driving Experience 2015 is engineered to push the car, driver and tires to their limits in a safe and controlled environment.
As the only point of contact between the vehicle and the road, tires experience a huge amount of stress when the car makes sudden and rapid movements, or is braked hard at high speeds (80 – 100 km/h). To handle this stress repeatedly, while consistently offering reliable performance and safety, Bridgestone’s TURANZA GR100 tires are built under stringent specifications.

“A comfortable ride promotes physical and mental health”
For most premium cars, while their soundproofing capabilities can be impressive, it is typically set at a default level in production, and is often costly and difficult to improve. Often, the culprit that affects ride comfort and noise is car-ground interference, with tires translating the vibrations from the road surface into the vehicle cabin.
To improve soundproofing, while providing the most comfortable ride possible, Bridgestone set out to create specialized tires that enable the driver to be “Feeling as comfortable as being in the first-class cabin on all routes”. This aspiration has led to the development of the TURANZA GR-100, which enables drivers to enjoy both ride comfort and silence.

TURANZA GR-100 integrates a wide range of technology breakthroughs from Bridgestone. The tire’s sidewall design helps reduce horizontal vibration when the car is on an uneven surface, while the silent AC block features a rounded 3D design which assists in reducing noise transferred into the car cabin. In addition, 3D Helmholtz resonance technology helps the tire disperse wind pressure before it becomes noise. The square shoulder design ensures a flatter contact surface, minimizing irregular wear for complete confidence on the road.

The TURANZA GR-100 will be used on all 22 BMW and MINI models at the Driving Experience 2015. Premium cars with TURANZA GR-100 tires have demonstrated unbelievable ride comfort while moving at high speeds, and even during sudden maneuvers. In addition, the TURANZA GR-100 tires have an extremely short braking distance, even on wet and slippery surfaces. In drift performance racing, the TURANZA GR-100 tire set has also shown high wear resistance and durability.
The manner of driving
Mr. Hiroyuki Saito also shared: “Besides high-quality tires, the driver’s awareness also affect the car’s ability to operate smoothly. Drivers sometimes need to know how to harmonize their own sports driving feel for the ride comfort of their passengers.”

In addition, this event is a chance for the participants to apply knowledge obtained from the previous Bridgestone event “Drive in Style”, held in April 2015. Through interactive games and the lively experiences related by actor Kim Ly, participants can turn this knowledge into good driving habits through daily practice.
Bridgestone continues as a partner at the next BMW Driving Experience event, will be held at Vinhomes Riverside, Long Bien, Hanoi, from 19th to 22th June 2015.
